Just gonna drop a few artists I really like here & who have greatly changed my taste &/or my life.
These are the guys that got me into music beyond a passive experience & made me actively seek out new music to listen to. I discovered it when my older sibling found an animatic with & playing in the background & have been a huge fan ever since.
Hugely underrated group, they deserve 133000 rather than 133 montly listeners on Spotify. I discovered them after I saw the lead singer & guitarist, Nate Die, playing along with Jack Stauber in a Burger King after a thunderstorm set their previous plans moot.
None of Mike Patton's work really pleases me with a FIRM exception for this. All 3 of the main albums get to me in different ways, though I have to say that California & the first half of the self-titled album are my favorites. I discovered it after someone compared Love, Me Normally to Vanity Fair, played it while hustling on homework, & have been a fan ever since. Their music, along with Cojum Dip & The Hu, have started to get me to appreciate hard rock & metal more than I did before.
